SD Card Plugin
The Locale SD Card Plugin adds several new conditions to Locale for Android.
The “SD (Status)” condition allows users to activate situations when the SD card’s status changes. Users can select from all known statuses (Present/Removed/etc.), or select a combination of statuses.
The “SD (Free Space)” condition allows users to activate situations when the free space remaining on the SD card drops below the configured amount (ex: 10% remaining, 5% remaining, etc.).
You can find the Locale SD Card Plugin on the Android Marketplace.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My Samsung Galaxy S3 shows the internal space, not the SD card?
A: The Android OS returns the “primary storage” directory when an app asks for the storage directory. On the S3, Samsung made the phone’s internal memory the primary storage and set the external SD card to “secondary storage”.
We are working on a patch to resolve this and hope to have it released before January of 2013.
Q: How do I report a bug?
A: The preferred method is to:
- Open the plugin
- Press menu, or the menu softkey (⋮)
- Press “Report Problem”
- Describe your problem, and send the email
Why do we prefer this method? Simple, using the “Report Problem” button will include log data that is vital and insightful when trying to remotely diagnose your problem.
